The annual district-wide welding competition and fundraiser, hosted on March 14th at Lincoln-Way Central, generated $13,000 in scholarships and awards.
Lincoln-Way East swept the competition in the Intermediate Division:
1st place: Nathan Mashek
2nd Place: Marcin Strzep
3rd Place: Kayla Truesdale
Lincoln-Way East won 1st and 3rd in the Advanced Division. Central Won 2nd place.
1st place: Jacob Hamilton
2nd Place: Ethan Pajula
3rd Place: Dominic Angone
Lincoln-Way West won 1st and 3rd in the Pro Division. Central won 2nd place.
1st place: Zack Daletski
2nd place: Henry McCabe
3rd place: Ryan Dennison
Lincoln-Way Welding raffled off a a brand new 2023 Vivid EV Model V4 Monster Golf Cart with an estimated value of $14,000. With over 2,000 tickets sold, the funds raised from the raffle went toward trade scholarships for current welding students. Recipients of the scholarships are:
