The Future Business Leaders of America club at Central paid a visit Google Chicago in Fulton Market. Students took a tour of the building and asked questions to a panel of LW graduates who now work for the company!
The annual High School Art Exhibit at the Vogt Visual Arts Center in Tinley Park will feature artwork from students from across the district. Their hard work and creativity will be on display at the Vogt Center from November 4th -- 30th, located at 17420 67th Ct. Tinley Park, 60477.
EL students from Central and East hosted cultural potlucks over the last week! Students brought in dishes and wore traditional outfits, representing over ten different countries.

Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 is proud to announce that all three high schools have received a 2023 Annual Summative Designation of ‘Exemplary’ from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). An ‘Exemplary’ designation indicates that a school is in the highest performing 10% of schools in the state.

The little Knights got a head start on Halloween by trick-or-treating through the school this morning!
National Honor Society officers from all 3 Lincoln-Way schools met yesterday at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Joliet for a National Day of Service.
Students from all three schools were able to visit the career fair at LWC today! It was a great opportunity for them to explore possible career paths by speaking with experts in a variety of industries. Thank you to all of the organizations that participated!

Thank you to our Edu-Panel experts Mrs. Deady, Dr. Bergthold, Dr. Feehery, Mr. Griggs, Dr. Shaw, and Mrs. Chandarana for speaking with Mrs. Cavanaugh’s college writing students today at East. Students formulated research questions regarding issues in education and were able to receive first hand responses based on lived experiences for their essays
With winter quickly approaching, Lincoln-Way Central is teaming up with the Village of New Lenox to provide FREE vehicle inspections for senior citizens in the community.
Lincoln-Way automotive students, under the supervision of an auto shop teacher, will offer the following services:
• Check fluids – engine oil, trans fluid, brake fluid, coolant, power steering fluid and windshield washer fluid
• Check belts and hoses
• Inspect tires for tread wear, cracks and dry rot
• Inspect underside suspension and front-end parts
• Load test batteries
• Check coolant strength for freeze protection
• Check headlights, turn signals, parking lamps and registration plate bulbs
The vehicle inspections will be conducted on Tuesday, November 7th and Wednesday, November 8th from 8:30am to 10:45am at Lincoln-Way Central High School, 1801 E. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox. Seniors will be directed to enter off of Schoolhouse Road at the 1st entrance north of Route 30.

Mrs. Salem's EL English classes at East researched the native origins and regions of diversity of agricultural crops from their culture. Each group worked on a presentation to learn the history of the food and to see where the food has been imported and exported.
Yesterday, the Knights were visited by a former student, 1st Lt Matt Fleckenstein. He graduated in 2016 from Lincoln-Way Central and then from the US Air Force Academy in 2020. He is currently a C-130 pilot, and happened to be flying through the area!

LWC Forensic Science students set up a pumpkin decomposition lab yesterday. The students made a hypothesis as to which pumpkin with decompose the fastest and will monitor the stages of decomposition throughout the rest of the semester.
