Superintendent
Welcome to Lincoln-Way High School District 210.
Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 serves families and citizens in a 105-square-mile area at three comprehensive high schools: Lincoln-Way Central, located in New Lenox; Lincoln-Way East, located in Frankfort; and Lincoln-Way West located in New Lenox. The district serves students from five elementary school districts: Frankfort 157-C, Manhattan 114, Mokena 159, New Lenox 122, and Summit Hill 161.
Knights, Griffins, and Warriors are offered a variety of options in both academics and extracurricular activities. Our students are able to choose from 34 (of the possible 40) Advanced Placement courses, 144 elective courses, 70 activities, and 30 sports. Year after year, our students receive local, state, and national recognition for their dedication to academics and athletics.
District 210 graduation rates have repeatedly exceeded state averages, and have risen to the high 90s since 2013. We are committed to further growing our AP opportunities to prepare our students for college-level work and give them a competitive advantage in their careers. Each year, our teachers efficiently prepare students for state testing through dedicated classroom practice and free study sessions hosted at each of our high schools.
Catering to individual student needs has allowed our district to consistently rank in the top ten percent academically across the state. Our Educational Opportunities (Ed Ops) Program provides support for at-risk students who might not otherwise graduate; the program provides assistance to teenagers, helping them earn course credits primarily through individualized learning and computer-based instruction.
Our LIFE Transition program serves students with special needs at Lincoln-Way Central, and has more than doubled in enrollment since inception. The program is designed to meet the individual needs of students receiving special education services who have met their graduation requirements, but continue to need more intensive instruction in the area of transition. Students benefit from the functional, hands-on instruction and meaningful life skills experiences in a natural setting.
Lincoln-Way students are highly engaged in our top-notch athletic, music, and extra-curricular programs because we offer many options catering to various interests. Our students are also committed to service, volunteering for countless hours each year in order to better their community.
Our many accomplishments are a direct result of our students’ and teachers’ shared commitment to success. When students graduate from our high schools, they are armed with the tools to thrive in a variety of settings, regardless of their choice in career path. The Board of Education, administration, and faculty embrace the optimism and promise of this school year and look forward to building upon the rich tradition of student success.
