Congratulations to the 10 Lincoln-Way West music students selected to perform at Elmhurst University this past Saturday for the ILMEA District 1 Music Honors Festival! Out of nearly 2000 student auditions, these students were chosen to perform with their respective music ensembles. Representing West in Orchestra were Grace Brown and Juliana DeBoer. Representing West in Choir were Nora Ader, Kaleigh Buda, Marlo Etzcorn, Ginny Frank, May Frank, Abby Hamilton, and Becca Stefanelli. Representing West in Band was Jonah Zolecki. The music department is proud of you all for your excellence and dedication to your performing ensembles! #LeadTheWay
World Kindness Day is tomorrow! As we embrace the motto “Warriors are Kind,” we encourage you to consider the small acts of kindness you can share—whether it’s writing a thoughtful note, offering encouragement, or reaching out to someone who needs support.
We also encourage you to wear a Be Kind t-shirt or a cardigan to school tomorrow to help celebrate World Kindness Day.
As a reminder, kindness clips will be handed out to some of our students during the school day. Feel free to keep the kindness clip or pass the positivity along.
BC2M will also have a photo backdrop setup in the cafeteria for World Kindness Day. Stop over to the table during your lunch hour to help promote the message of positivity, compassion, and consideration.

34 West students currently have their artwork on display in the annual High School Art Exhibit at the Vogt Visual Arts Center in Tinley Park (17420 67th Ct.). The show will be on display until November 28th. Please consult the Vogt Visual Art Center website for their hours.

🧡 Bring Change 2 Mind will be promoting kindness by sharing clips with positive messages throughout the school day this Wednesday. If you receive a clip, feel free to keep it or pass the positivity on to another Warrior.
🖤 We are also inviting all Warriors to wear their LWW Be Kind shirts to school on Wednesday. Don’t have a Be Kind to shirt on Wednesday? Another option is to consider wearing a cardigan similar to Mr. Rogers to promote the message of positivity, compassion, and consideration.

The Lincoln-Way West Student Council would like to extend an invitation to you and your family to our fifth annual holiday event, The Polar Express. We will have games, crafts, hot chocolate, train rides and pictures with Santa. The event will be on Saturday, December 14th from 9AM-1PM in the cafeteria. The admission is $10.00 per child.

Freshman Final Exam Review Night is scheduled for Monday, November 18! The presentation is for our freshman students and their parents/guardians. Students in Mrs. Fortkamp’s dual credit College Writing classes are working to develop compelling causal arguments. They improved elements of the their essays through academic “Speed Dating," a fast-paced form of peer review designed to generate specific and effective feedback.
Students are attending presentations today with the Homeland Security Investigations Project iGuardian. The presentations are focused on keeping teens safe from online predators through education and awareness. The project is an outreach effort to share information about the dangers of online environments, how to stay safe online, and how to report abuse and suspicious activity.
