LWE’s Preschool has been a huge success not only for our big Griffins, but our little Griffins as well! Mrs. Russler’s Early Childhood Ed students welcomed 16 children to the 2021-2022 school year!
The Spanish Honors Society members have been helping students during their Wednesday tutoring sessions. It has been great to see so many students coming in for extra help, and it's been even better to see students getting excited about Spanish!

2020 LWE Alum, Ryan McCoy, now playing baseball at Wabash Valley College, met with the LWE baseball team to discuss his growth since he entered our weight room program. His improvements are astonishing and motivating! McCoy has committed to play at Louisville next year.
Our new LWE weightlifting room has helped our Human Performance class and athletes meet the needs of the ever-changing strength and conditioning in the modern era. The remodel will help our students develop their mind and body with the space to functionally train.
The LWEast Boys Golf Team qualified for Day 2 of the State Finals in Bloomington, IL
The little Knights, Griffins, and Warriors returned for preschool this week, and they are already learning their ABCs, doing art projects, and so much more!
Students in American Civics are working on a legislation simulation. Students acted as congressional committee members by marking up student-generated legislation proposals. Classes will function as a mock House of Representatives to debate and vote on the bills.
Allez! Mrs Goetsch's French 3/4 class at Lincoln-Way East completed a unit focused on the role and impact of sports in the francophone world. Jeux Olympiques was a team building activity in which students worked together.

Mrs. Wilson’s Meteorology class tested temperature controls. Students created their own experiments testing, land vs water heating, cloud cover, sun's angle, and pressure and their effects on temperature change. #lw210
