A visit to Julian Rogus Elementary School to see Devynn & Emily teaching their 2nd graders. Both are in Mrs. Rowell’s Teaching Internship class 🍎

Ms. McGuire (8th grade Social Science) and Ms. Werner (2nd grade) were busy teaching their students today at the Mokena schools. They are both enrolled in Mrs. Rowell’s Teaching Internship class.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. LWE’s SkillsUSA students performed community service at the Hickory Creek Preserve in Mokena — a planned community service project for the club. #lw210

LWE Spanish 5 students made ofrendas to learn and experience a Mexican tradition called Day of the Dead.

Ms. Vivona’s Fit for Life classes are ready for Halloween! They learned a special dance for this occasion. 🎃

Mrs. Widinski’s Biology students constructed a cell membrane model today. Her students are able to access all of their labs along with class notes and handouts via their Biology Team in which Mrs. Widinski set up.

Former head coach Linda Vivona was honored at a recent LWE varsity girls volleyball game against Sandburg. She ended her career as the 18th winningest girls Volleyball coach in the history of Illinois with 765 wins. Congratulations Coach Vivona and your upcoming retirement!

Ravioli is on the menu in Mrs. Sabo’s What’s For Dinner class. These students made the dish from scratch including the dough and the filling. Almost time to eat!

LWE’s Computer Club picked up trash around the high school — an annual tradition. Great job Griffins!

The Lincoln-Way Marching Band amazed the crowd at ISU with their performance called Metamorphosis!

The class of 2022 theme day kicked off its first theme day for the student body with Halloween colors and costumes today. Next month, thank an educator by suiting up like a LWE staff member on November 22. #lw210

Coach Zvonar and the Griffins honor our veterans tonight against Bradley!

The Board of Education met last night at Lincoln-Way Central. Highlights from the October 21 meeting include: • Student Council presidents provided an overview of student activities at each building. •Central: Madison Jendersak •East: Peyton Lamphear •West: Emma Stiglic • Reviewed and approved a list of Capital Improvement Projects set to take place during the summer of 2022. District administration will now work with the Board’s architect to design and bid all projects on the list. Projects include: • Roofing restoration, pavement repair, and other routine maintenance • Refinishing of the gymnasium floors at all three schools • New stadium scoreboards at Central and East • Foods lab renovation at Central • Remodeling of conference and restroom facilities at West •Appointed new members of the District 210 Advisory Committee, which consists of district stakeholders from all three campuses. Students from LWE Key Club spent the afternoon creating Halloween cards for the residents at Smith Crossing Senior Living.

The Little Griffins were very excited to explore Lincoln-Way East looking for Griffins. Early Childhood Ed students have been teaching the preschoolers about their mascot!
