💙Class of 2023💙

Students and staff celebrated the last Coffee House in the LWE library today. Mr. Teare's guitar classes jammed the morning away while the Griffins enjoyed coffee and tea from Frankfort's grounded coffee shop.

Mr. Harrah's Religions and Philosophy students completed a unit on Islam where two students taught the class about their favorite holiday and played a Kahoot! game for the whole class. Mr. Harrah also arranged for middle eastern cuisine of falafel and chicken shawarma. The class enjoyed it!

Mr. Griggs met with students who were nominated by a staff member to become a future Griffin Guide - a new peer mentoring program comprised of juniors and seniors working with freshmen that will start next year. This is a great leadership experience for our students. There is an application process in case more students want to apply.

Mr. Ken Andresen, proud Lincoln-Way alum -- class of 2000 -- taught Excel to Ms. Vandenberg's math classes.

Congratulations to Sophia Jensen for winning the Our Fallen Hero 5K T-shirt Design Contest. Sophia is a sophomore at East and created the design in her Digital Design class. Her design will be used on the 2023 race t-shirts.

Mrs. Wilson's Forensic science students created a diorama displaying their crime scenes. Lots of creativity to be had!
