The Lincoln-Way Community School District will be hosting this year’s District-Wide College Fair on Tuesday, September 24, at Lincoln-Way Central!

Location: Lincoln-Way Central High School-Field House
This event is a fantastic opportunity for our students to explore a wide range of post-secondary options and connect directly with representatives from colleges and universities. Whether they’re considering a four-year college, community college, or other pathways, this fair offers valuable insights to help them plan their futures.
Registration: Please encourage students that will be attending register on Strivescan.com BEFORE attending the fair. There is a QR Code on the flyer to assist with registering.
Encourage Sign-Up for College Rep Visits via SchooLinks: Juniors and seniors can also meet with college representatives during the school day by signing up through SchooLinks. They will be shown how to do this during the early release presentation. Students must register at least 48 hours in advance and check with their teachers regarding any assignments or assessments before attending.

Today, our German 3 Honors and German 4AP students had the special opportunity to hear from three student visitors from Germany! Conversations flowed, cultures connected, and everyone got to enjoy our newly renovated media center — complete with flexible collaboration spaces designed to support every kind of learning.

The Medical Anatomy Class just had their first day orientation at Franciscan Hospital Olympia Fields. They will be shadowing 3 days a week in various departments.
Spanish 5 students are making the most of our newly renovated library! They're working together to create original stories in a space that inspires creativity and collaboration.

Students! Need more one-on-one help with a subject you may be struggling with? If so, visit either academic assistance or the writing center during your advisory. Please refer to the corresponding classroom with your advisory hour. You do not need a pass. The advisory will excuse you from your advisory once you check in. There is also Spanish peer tutoring on Wednesdays after school.

Today, freshmen participated in activities with our upperclassmen Griffin Crew leaders to help them learn more about LWE and what’s ahead this school year. Sophomores attended a presentation facilitated by PPS to learn graduation requirements, academic supports, upcoming events, and ways to get involved at LWE. And Juniors and Seniors attended a presentation facilitated by PPS to learn graduation requirements, academic supports, upcoming events, and steps to plan their college and career.
Today our students started an Advisory Olympic kickoff! The goal is to teach them how to ask questions, work together in groups and start high with getting to know others!

As a reminder, Photo Day for Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors will be Thursday, August 28th. Students will have their yearbook picture taken by Burns Photography during their P.E., Health, Driver’s Ed., or JROTC class. All school retake/makeup date is September 25th during their lunch or advisory period. If any senior was not able to schedule or attend a session at Burns Photography this summer, they must have their photo taken 8/28 or 9/25 to be included in the yearbook. All parents will receive an email shortly after the photo day with a direct link to view their student's proof.
