The LWE Anatomy and Physiology classes had a field experience streaming a heart procedure in conjunction with Advocate Christ Hospital and the Museum of Science and Industry.
Tomorrow is the opening night of the spring play "Stop and Smell the Daffodils"! You don't want to miss this evening of artistic exploration celebrating the theme of friendship.
The show consists of student directed skits, monologues, dances, songs, and a one act as well as an art gallery in the lobby. Shows are Thursday April 10th and Friday April 11th at 7pm in LWE Auditorium. Tickets are available at the door, $10 for adults and only $5 for students!

What a phenomenal finish by our Powerlifting Team! The team was 2nd in male division 2nd in female division. Best overall male and 1st place lifter Ilyas Yassin 1st Place and Best overall female lifter Tori Lehman 1st Place in weight class Giuseppe Goebel and Kailyn Krestan. Congratulations to the entire team!!

Today, freshmen students attended a presentation titled, "Science Unleashed: Exploring Possibilities, Embracing Futures" facilitated by Elmhurst University. Students learned the endless possibilities science offers - from everyday applications to exciting career paths.
Sophomore, Junior and Senior students attended a Career Expo. There were over 30 representatives from various career fields available to speak with students about their profession. Students were able to explore diverse career paths, discover potential job opportunities, and gain valuable insights into what various professions entail. They were also able to network with experts, ask questions, and learn about the skills, qualifications, and steps needed to succeed in their chosen careers.

Designing Dreams, One Clay House at a Time!
LWE's ceramics classes are bringing architecture to life with their amazing clay house designs! From tiny modern homes to whimsical cottages, each student is creating unique, handcrafted masterpieces that show off their creativity and artistic skills.
The spring play "Stop and Smell the Daffodils" is right around the corner!
For our show this year, we are creating a multimedia showcase celebrating the theme of FRIENDSHIP. The show will consist of a collection of student directed skits, a one act, monologues, dances, and songs as well as an art gallery in the lobby.
The show is Thursday 4/10 and Friday 4/11 at 7pm. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.

Lincoln-Way East French students marked La Journée internationale de la francophonie (International Francophonie Day) last week. In the spirit of the day which is marked worldwide on March 20, students celebrated the French language, spoken by more than 321 million people across five continents, and the diversity of francophone culture with music, a scavenger hunt, crafts, and an after school café including homemade cassoulet, French cheeses, and many other delicious treats.
