Mrs. Widinski's chemistry classes completed a lab where they built different isotopes and ions. She was so proud of her sophomores for catching on to the atom models really quickly and it was a nice way to see their misconceptions about protons, neutrons and electrons.

Mrs. Salem's EL English classes researched the native origins and regions of diversity of agricultural crops from their culture. Each group collaborated on a presentation to learn the history of the food they grew up on and also seeing where the food has been imported and exported.

LWE Interact Club is preparing for the Breast Cancer Walk on October 8th. Our group has paired up to work with the Making Strides movement that has helped fund breast cancer research. #east

Today, Mrs. Widinski's chemistry classes used the science and engineering practices to design and build a solar cooker as part of the Energy unit.

Ms. Vandenberg's math students practiced on the desmos calculator that is available to them on the PSAT and the SAT.

AP US History students went back in time with Mr. Olson today to learn about the Declaration of Independence from Thomas Jefferson.
