Mr. Victor is addressing the rules and regulations with our students today and tomorrow. Today he is meeting with freshmen and juniors. Tomorrow he is meeting with sophomores and seniors.
Broadway comes to Frankfort! Students from all three Lincoln-Way schools are featured in East’s fall musical production of Hadestown: Teen Edition. This show, currently running on Broadway, is a modern take on stories from Greek mythology. Join us the weekend of 9/20-9/22 for an unforgettable show. Tickets are on sale NOW at lwemusic.org. LWE's first-day pep assembly was a great way to kick off the school year with energy and excitement! Our Griffin Crew, varsity cheerleaders and poms, the pep band, and varsity football players pumped the students up with high-energy performances. Our students announced ways students can get involved, like joining clubs or participating in sports. Students were reminded to do their best in school and make the most of each day. We also celebrated notable achievements by our athletes and the LW Marching Band going to the Rose Bowl Parade this year. #goeastgogriffinsgoblue

Welcome Class of 2028! We are thrilled to open our doors and hearts to the newest members of our school family during freshman orientation. From day one, you’ll be making memories, forging friendships, and embarking on adventures that will shape your future. Tomorrow join us for Open House as you have the opportunity to walk your schedule on your own from 8 am to 2 pm.
East Griffin Crew started their first day of leadership training with A'ric Jackson from Top Youth Speakers. They focused on the importance of leadership in addition to stepping out of your comfort zone.
Our Griffin Crew members are excited to teach our Freshman at Orientation simple steps to be successful on their first day of school and for the school year.

Griffins~Join us one week from today! This event is for ALL STUDENTS! Parent attendance is optional. Students are invited to come throughout the event to find their classrooms, access their lockers, and walk their schedules.
The school nurse will be available to collect student physicals, vaccination records, and medication(s) for the school year. Items will be for sale ithrough a spiritwear OR code.

Don't forget the Class of 2028 Freshman Orientation is Wednesday, August 14th from 11:00am-1:00pm. This optional (yet highly encouraged) event is for LWE Freshmen. Sorry, no parents allowed. Student can enter through the Auditorium Door #40.
Freshman orientation is a positive, helpful, and motivating experience coordinated by LW East Griffin Crew to make sure you are comfortable with finding your way around our school, are set up to find needed information and help on your phone, and ease anxiety about high school.
Griffin Crew leaders will welcome freshman students in small, personalized groups, give building tours, encourage getting involved at East, and share their own advice.
Students will be able to pick up and sign for their school laptop.
Students unable to attend on this date may pick up laptops on Monday, August 19th. For late laptop pick up, enter through Door #1 anytime between 10:00am-1:00pm on August 19th.

Miss VandenBerg just surpassed grading her 1100th question number 6 on this year's AP Statistics exam. She was chosen by the College Board to grade exams remotely. With two more days to go she is hoping to hit 1400 and is looking forward to being able to grade on her patio without fear of being deafened by the cicadas which have just disappeared!
Congratulations to this semester's Stock Market Game winners in Ms Hegarty's Econ classes. Juniors Matt Huguelet, Nathan O'Reilly, and Jimmy Mauer were first out of 292 teams in the Northern Illinois area. They gained over $36,000 in just 10 weeks with most of the money gained through Dell stock. Placing 3rd were juniors Caden Harnett, Jasmine Ulit, and Noah Toliver. They gained $28,000 investing in Navidia and Amazon stock.
