Our Lincoln-Way IT Technicians have been busy this summer preparing more than 3,400 laptops for the Digital Learning 1-to-1 Initiative. As part of this initiative, students in the Classes of 2024 and 2025 will receive a laptop device at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year as part of the registration process.
“Through the use of technology, more specifically 1:1 teaching and learning, students are better prepared as 21st century learners,” said Dr. Brian Murphy, Director of Data, Assessment, and Innovation. “The personalized, mobile, and individual use of a laptop device is a way to engage and empower students to maximize their full potential and to prepare them for high school, college, and the workplace. Learning occurs from a continuous interaction among student, educators, parents, and the community.”
The laptop will be considered school property until the student graduates from Lincoln-Way, at which time the laptop will become the permanent property of the student.
