Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 is proud to announce that all three high schools have received a 2023 Annual Summative Designation of ‘Exemplary’ from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). An ‘Exemplary’ designation indicates that a school is in the highest performing 10% of schools in the state.
Lincoln-Way Central, East and West are three of only 65 exemplary high schools in the state, and District 210 is the only high school district with three or more high schools that had all schools designated as exemplary for the 2022-2023 school year.
“Our school community is dedicated to maintaining a culture of academic excellence, evidenced by the exemplary designation for all three of our schools. We would like to thank our entire school community for their hard work and dedication to ensuring our students have the best educational experience while at Lincoln-Way,” said Dr. Scott Tingley, superintendent.
Each October, ISBE releases the Illinois State Report Card that, in addition to the summative designation, provides an overview of how each school is performing on several indicators. ISBE evaluates every Illinois high school on eight indicators: Graduation rate (50%); English-language arts proficiency (7.5%); math proficiency (7.5%); science proficiency (5%); English learner progress to proficiency (5%); chronic absenteeism (10%); climate survey participation (6.67%); and 9th grade on track (8.33%).
