Lincoln-Way East math teacher Betsy VandenBerg has been selected as a national grader for the Advanced Placement (AP) Statistics exam.
According to collegeboard.org, "AP Exams are standardized exams designed to measure how well you’ve mastered the content and skills of a specific AP course." Students who take an AP Exam may receive college credit or advance placement depending on their score.
"I applied to be a grader because I am always looking for ways to improve my instruction. It is a way to enjoy the camaraderie of other professionals, sharing ideas and looking for ways to help my students become better writers and thinkers," continued VandenBerg, " I have been teaching AP Statistics since I started the program, and am looking forward to giving back to the AP community for their assistance over the years."
