Mr. Harrah’s Psych of Mind students participated in an activity called T.H.E.M. Neurons....(Tree, Hunter, Elephant, Monkey) There were four neural sets the students had to master and try not to confuse.
Over the weekend, the Lincoln-Way Marching Band performed in the Fall Fest parade in Frankfort and the Labor Day parade in Manhattan . We are so excited to hear more from them this season!

Today, LWE’s social worker, Mr. Mark Davis, addresses our student body about suicide prevention month. “You are enough” is the message we want our students to walk away with. Mr. Davis provided tips on the signs of suicide and who students can talk to.
Teaching Internship students are all smiles this Friday! The interns have been practicing their relationship building skills to be effective teachers.

The LWC Guitar Studio is gearing up for their performance at the 2022 Illinois Music Education Conference (All-State) in Peoria, and will be going on tour to Nashville and Memphis over Spring Break!
It’s time for the Physics 500 Lab! Students in Mr. Victor’s Physics classes at Lincoln-Way West are exploring the relationship between speed, distance and time.
This week at Lincoln-Way West, college counselor Mr. Kohlbacher is presenting to senior English classes on the college admissions process. Seniors are encouraged to see their counselor with any questions on the college selection process or college applications.
Mrs. Russler’s students got a special visitor! Renee Galvin, children’s author and illustrator, spoke to Early Childhood Ed students on Zoom. Renee Galvin read her story, “Teal”, and also lectured about storytelling and reading aloud to children. Check out @booksbyreneegalvin

The LW210 one to one implementation has allowed our students to access the Internet, digital course materials, and Office 365 applications. LWE's Geometry students use OneNote to take notes. Additionally, the World History students research maps for a geography project.

One week ago today, Lincoln-Way West honored Dr. Schmitt on her last first day, as she will retire at the end of this year. Westley presented her with a memento to remember all of the West first-day shirts, a tradition she began when Lincoln-Way West opened in 2009.
