The girls cross country team finished 5th at IHSA Regionals, hosted by Lockport High School. By doing so, the team qualified for the IHSA Sectional meet next weekend in Normal. The squad has now made it to this weekend of competition every year since the West opened in 2009. The team improved on last year's finish, led by Chloe Miller in 21st place. Kylie Ludwig, Celest Reiling, and Sophia Mikolajczak all ran personal best times and placed in the top 35 to pace the team. #GoWarriors

Today, our Honors Biology classes took learning outdoors! Students modeled the photosynthetic process with chalk, exploring how plants convert sunlight into food energy. As they study factors affecting photosynthetic rates and observe the stunning fall colors, they connect the dots between photosynthesis and plant adaptations for winter. Check out their hard work and creativity in action. #LeadTheWay
