The Lincoln-Way West Student Council would like to extend an invitation to you and your family to our fifth annual holiday event, The Polar Express. We will have games, crafts, hot chocolate, train rides and pictures with Santa. The event will be on Saturday, December 14th from 9AM-1PM in the cafeteria. The admission is $10.00 per child.

Freshman Final Exam Review Night is scheduled for Monday, November 18! The presentation is for our freshman students and their parents/guardians. The event will begin at 6:30 pm in the in the Lincoln-Way West Fine Arts Center. An email was sent to our Class of 2028 families with more information about the presentation. #LeadTheWay

Students in Mrs. Fortkamp’s dual credit College Writing classes are working to develop compelling causal arguments. They improved elements of the their essays through academic “Speed Dating," a fast-paced form of peer review designed to generate specific and effective feedback.



Students are attending presentations today with the Homeland Security Investigations Project iGuardian. The presentations are focused on keeping teens safe from online predators through education and awareness. The project is an outreach effort to share information about the dangers of online environments, how to stay safe online, and how to report abuse and suspicious activity.

Students in the A&P medical program were invited to Ascension St. Joe’s in Joliet for the Barna Brain Breakfast! Named in honor of a former stroke care coordinator, this annual event reviews recent stroke cases from EMS, the emergency department, ICU, neurology, and therapy. Attendees learned about six cases and their positive outcomes. St. Joe’s is the only dedicated stroke center in Region 7, alongside Advocate Christ. #LeadTheWay

Choir students had a great experience today at the SWSC Choral Festival! They performed in front of peers from a number of schools, showcasing their hard work and passion for music. Students also participated in a masterclass with an esteemed clinician, gaining invaluable insights and tips. To top it off, our students enjoyed a variety of inspiring performances from choirs across the conference. Physical Science students did an incredible job in their recent sound wave lab! Using a water column and metal tuning forks, they explored the relationship between high and low frequencies firsthand.
