Key Club
Description:
Key Club is a service organization sponsored by a local Kiwanis Club to promote school and community relationships. The club is unique for its aim in the development of character and leadership abilities through participation in community service projects, athletic and social functions, fundraising projects, and conventions. A primary goal of Key Club is to prepare young people for useful citizenship. Nationwide, there are over 130,000 young men and women actively involved in Key Club.

Key Club is the High School service arm of Kiwanis International. It is the oldest (1925) and largest service organization for high school students in the entire world. Key Club has approximately 260,000 members in approximately 5,000 clubs. Key Club is represented in 37 countries. The Lincoln-Way East Key Club is sponsored by the Frankfort Kiwanis Club.
The Key Club mission is to identify and develop the key leaders of our school and community through service projects and volunteering. Key Club members give thousands of hours in service to our community every year.
Lincoln-Way East Key Club is a member of the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District. Regionally, we are a part of Division 23. We are one of the largest divisions in the I-I District, and students have opportunities to serve at division, district, and even international levels. Currently, Lincoln-Way East is the home club of the Division Lieutenant Governor.
