Future Educators of America (FEA)

Description:
The FEA has been organized in many of the high schools in the country. Its purpose is to acquaint students with the various fields and levels of teaching and to familiarize them with some of the problems one encounters in teaching. A number of teachers from both the Lincoln-Way staff and other schools are invited to discuss with the prospective teachers their subject areas and other phases of teaching.

Through professional reading, discussion, and personal contact, FEA members become better acquainted with the profession. Membership is open to any student who is interested in teaching as a career and who is able to maintain average grades.

The club performs many service projects for the school and community, such as guides for parent conferences and tutoring area students.
