ACTIVITIES

Activity Name:

AFJROTC Drill Team

Description:

The Drill Team is open to all cadets in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) program. It is designed to teach teamwork and develop advanced drill techniques for future performances and competitions during the year. JROTC Drill is a Southwest Suburban Conference (SWSC) competitive activity and participants can earn "letters" for this activity. The Drill Team consists of Varsity and Junior Varsity unarmed regulation drill, armed regulation drill, color guard, and unarmed exhibition teams. There is also a combined Varsity/JV armed exhibition team along with armed exhibition solos and duets. Practice times are scheduled throughout the week for all groups of the overall Drill Team. While it takes dedication and attendance to win competitions, no previous drill experience is necessary. In addition to competitions we also perform drill sequences at various community functions, parades, and schools during holidays and special events.
