In 1943, Steen Metz, who lived in Denmark, was arrested at eight years of age, along with his parents. He was deported to the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp, where his father died of starvation within six months of their arrival. In an effort to fine-tune writing skills, inspire love for reading, and get their creativity flowing, students from all Lincoln-Way High Schools participated in the nation-wide contest, "Letters about Literature." The "Come Fly with Me" theme was celebrated with a balloon launch at the end of the night, although the highlight of the dance occurred at 9 PM, when two students, Danny Gengo and Abby Devries, were elected by their peers as Prom King and Queen.[Read More]

Lincoln-Way East Boys Tennis Sets New Record

On May 3rd, the Lincoln-Way East Boys' Tennis Program had a historic night on the courts as the Varsity Team set a new SWSC Blue and Red Division Record by winning its 34th consecutive SWSC Dual Meet victory, dating back to 2012. The 6-1 victory over Lincoln-Way North propelled the team to a perfect 8-0 record in SWSC play this season, and a 53-3 individual match record in 8 SWSC matches in 2016. During the streak from 2012-2016, the Griffins have posted a 214-33 individual match record, a .867 winning percentage. In total, the Griffins have posted a 67-2 SWSC Conference Dual Meet record since the start of the 2008 season conference record. [Read More]

Since 2010, over $20,000 has been raised by all four Lincoln-Way Boys and Girls Soccer Programs; the money has been donated to Silver Cross Cancer Foundation.
