Lincoln-Way Central Mathletes win SWSC Conference Championship 4th year in a row

The Lincoln-Way Central Mathletes won the SWSC Conference Championship for the 4th year in a row recently. During the evening competition, hosted at Lincoln-Way Central, the Knights Mathletes team took home 7 first place, 2 second place, 1 third place, and 3 fourth place awards. The Knights scored their highest total in over 5 years with 689 points out of a possible 750.

Lincoln-Way Central Choirs appear in professional concert in Chicago

Members of the Lincoln-Way Central High School Choirs will appear in a concert performance of the musical "Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings" by famed classical composer Eric Whitacre. The show will be performed on March 8, 2011 at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago. Eric Whitacre himself will be conducting the performance, which features an eight-member cast of professional actors as well as professional musicians.

Lincoln-Way West students promote Operation Teen Safe Driving program

Students at Lincoln-Way West have been busy promoting Operation Teen Safe Driving information during first semester. Nine students are going to be presenting information gathered about the dangers of texting while driving to all the physical education and drivers' education classes on February 25. For the program, Illinois State Police will also be bringing simulators into the classes. Students have arranged for a variety of guest speakers to round out the program.
