GRADUATION REQUIREMENT: Elective.
OTHER PREREQUISITES: Students should see the PPS Director who will inform them of the application process that must be observed before they can be approved for this course.
COURSE OVERVIEW: Independent Study is designed to meet singular needs of individual students that are not now being met by regular course offerings. Independent Study attempts to meet these needs by affording the students the opportunity to pursue a specialized interest in a study program that operates independently of regular course offerings. Students must seek a faculty advisor who will evaluate course work. Course structure and content is the responsibility of the student and teacher and must be detailed in an Independent Study contract. This contract must be approved by the Independent Study Board before the student will be allowed to enroll in this program. Once the student is approved and is scheduled, the class cannot be dropped.
