Lincoln-Way Freshman parents attend Straight Talk with Superintendent
Lincoln-Way
parents of incoming freshman at Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way
East and Lincoln-Way
North attended a special program with Dr. Lawrence A. Wyllie, superintendent,
during the week of August 12, 13, and 14.
Over 100 parents from each high school attended the informative sessions that
were hosted by the Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Board of Education.
“We host these meetings for the freshmen parents because we want you to
feel comfortable about sending your sons and daughters to Lincoln-Way. We want
you to meet the people from Lincoln-Way and want to establish good communication
with our parents right from day 1,” Dr. Wyllie told the parents.
Parents learned about test scores, various classes available for students, boundaries,
student programs, class size, security procedures, activities, athletics and
school district finances. Parents were given the opportunity to ask questions
and view the district map and design boards for Lincoln-Way West High School,
which is opening in the fall of 2009.
