Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 is proud to introduce a new concert series for seniors.

Starting in October, senior citizens will have an opportunity to enjoy a variety of performers, such as the Glen Miller Orchestra and award winning vocalist Maureen Christine, at affordable prices at Lincoln-Way North High School in Frankfort Township.

“This is another great opportunity for our community to enjoy the arts in their own backyard,” said Superintendent Lawrence A. Wyllie, who is proud to open the schools to the community for theatrical and musical performances.

The Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, for example, recently moved its home base from Governors State University to Lincoln-Way North High School so that it could provide a more centrally located area for orchestra subscribers.

The Senior Series, which gets underway in October with a performance by the Glen Miller Orchestra, will offer even more opportunities for the community to enjoy the performing arts.

“The inaugural Senior Series, offering 60-75 minute performances, will feature world class performing artists at extremely reasonable ticket prices,” said district performing arts coordinator Denise Adducci.

“The series will feature music, theatre and dance by vibrant and professional artists,” she added. “Lincoln-Way District 210’s commitment to serving the community is exemplified by this unique opportunity for its residents and the region.”

All performances will be held at the new, fully accessible state of the art Lincoln-Way North Performing Arts Center, 19900 S. Harlem Ave., Frankfort. Tickets will range from $8 to $15 per performance.

Upcoming performances of the Senior Series include:
