Lincoln-Way East FBLA Students Recognized with Top HonorsTuesday, July 11, 2017
On June 29, 2017, ten Lincoln-Way East Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda students attended the four-day FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California.
The students who represented Lincoln-Way East included Brooke Anderson for Introduction to Business Communication, Ryan Braun and Raj Patel for Banking and Financial Systems, Weston Dell for Agribusiness, Ethan Rasmussen for Computer Problem Solving, Clio Spada for Personal Finance and Audrey Zenick for Introduction to Business Procedures.
Weston Dell placed 8th overall at the conference, and Ryan Braun and Raj Patel placed among the top 15.
More than 12,000 of the best and brightest traveled to Anaheim, CA to showcase their talents as future business leaders and participate in the opportunity to win over $175,000 in cash awards.
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) is the largest and oldest student business organization.
Participants from across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and China came to the conference to sharpen their core business skills, expand their networks and participate in more than 60 business and business-related competitive events.
“These events are extremely competitive and I am so proud of their accomplishments,” said Christine Ahearn, Lincoln-Way East Business & Technology teacher and FBLA advisor.
“Through hard work and dedication, our students earned this opportunity to attend the National competition in Anaheim. This national competition is a great opportunity for students to network with business leaders and other members from across the world. It is a once in a lifetime experience.”
