Lincoln-Way West students participate in National Signing Day Ceremony

On Wednesday, May 3, 2017, Warrior student-athletes were honored in the auditorium at Lincoln-Way West High School. The Signing Day Ceremony is an event that recognizes student-athletes who have committed to play a sport at the collegiate level.

Teachers, coaches, staff, friends, and family of the students were in attendance; Athletic Director Ted Robbins presented.

“These student-athletes not only represent Lincoln-Way West in conference, regional, sectional, and state athletic competitions, but also as role models in the school and community for all of our current students and for all of the future Warriors to follow. They have not only excelled in the athletic arena but also in the classroom,” said Robbins.

The 26 student-athletes honored included:

• Courtney O’Donnell, who will compete in basketball at Elmhurst College
• Breanna Bemenek, who will compete in soccer at York College
• Jack Berry, who will compete in baseball at Maryville University
• Connor Blair, who will compete in baseball at Central College
• Conrad Bolster, who will compete in soccer at Carthage College
• Madison Clarida, who will compete in volleyball at Millikin University
• Jake DiBenedetto, who will compete in wrestling at Dominion University
• Carolyn Dudeck, who will compete in bowling at University of St. Francis
• Jake Dudeck, who will compete in football at Northern Michigan University
• Ian Duke, who will compete in baseball at the Illinois Institute of Technology
• Hugh Flores, who will compete in volleyball at Lourdes University
• Tyler Franc, who will compete in baseball at Ambrose University
• Haley Jablonski, who will compete in bowling at St. Xavier University
• Kyler Kopacz, who will compete in baseball at Amherst College
• Connor Lowman, who will compete in baseball at University of Wisconsin-Parkside
•Madison Mikalauski, who will compete in soccer at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
• Harmony Moran, who will compete in water polo at Lindenwood University
• Robert Noga, who will compete in wrestling at Coe College
• AJ Patterson, who will compete in wrestling at Coe College
• Cale Pohrte, who will compete in football at Millikin University
• Trevor Schmitt, who will compete in wrestling at Coe College
• Samantha Simons, who will compete in softball at Transylvania University
• Erin Toomey, who will compete in soccer at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh
• Makayla Turner, who will compete in dance at the University of St. Francis
• Sydney Valiska, who will compete in golf at Purdue University-Northwest
• Caitlyn Schreiber, who will compete in swimming at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas
