Lincoln-Way Foundation welcomes Huntington Learning Center as new Partner
Monday, April 10, 2017

On Wednesday, April 5, 2017, the Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Foundation presented a plaque to Huntington Learning Center (HLC) in Orland Park, Illinois, to recognize the educational service as a new Partner to Lincoln-Way. Huntington Learning Center generously pledged $5,000 for the 2017 calendar year in order to support the mission of the Lincoln-Way Foundation.

“We are excited about Partnering with the Foundation,” said HLC Director, Mary Nenn. “We wanted to bring awareness to families in the district about all the ways we can help."

Sponsorships of the Partner Program have allowed the Foundation to fund grant requests by various departments across the Lincoln-Way District; whether it be updating technology in the classrooms, or funding scholarships for graduating seniors, all students in District 210 have benefited from Partner Program sponsorships. Those invited to participate in the Partner Program primarily consist of small businesses, who are local to the Lincoln-Way area, or have an affiliation to education.

"We are thrilled that Huntington Learning Center in Orland Park saw the value of teaming up with the Foundation,” said Kim Jiracek, co-chair of the Partner Program. “It is a perfect match since the Partner funds go toward scholarships and furthering the educational growth of Lincoln-Way students."

For nearly 40 years, Huntington's tutors have worked with thousands of students to improve grades, raise college entrance exam test scores, and help students gain academic confidence. Additionally, HLC offers college scholarships through sweepstakes. “The Partnership with the Foundation aligns perfectly with the Huntington Learning Center mission, as we’ll be able to further enhance the opportunities for District 210 students,” says HLC Managing Director Katelyn Ovalle. “In addition to the gift we’ve pledged, students are welcome to apply for scholarship sweepstakes through our website. We’re thrilled to be able to offer these opportunities to our local youth!”
