Lincoln-Way East Key Club earns "Outstanding Team" TitleWednesday, April 5, 2017
On Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s annual banquet, the Lincoln-Way East Key Club was honored with the "Outstanding Team" Award. The event was held in the Victorian Ballroom of the Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet, Illinois.
The Forest Preserve staff spoke of the Griffins’ service over the past nine years in a variety of projects and workdays. Students were recognized for their enthusiasm and smiling faces, as well as their work ethic and punctuality. The Forest Preserve was particularly impressed with the 25 students who volunteered at the Monee Reservoir for this year's Musher Mania event in January.
Key Club Advisor D. Matthew Jordan represented the Key Club student-volunteers at the banquet. “I am very proud of our students and their dedication to the Forest Preserve,” he said. “’Outstanding Team’ is a perfect description of Key Club.”
