Lincoln-Way 210 Symphony to debut in early DecemberTuesday, November 29, 2016
The debut performance of the newly-formed Lincoln-Way 210 Symphony will take place Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the annual Lincoln-Way Central Vespers Concert.
The annual Vespers event features seasonal music performed by all curricular bands, choirs, and orchestras of Lincoln-Way Central. The Lincoln-Way 210 Symphony, comprised of students from all three Lincoln-Way schools, will join the Vespers concert to perform Concert Suite from the Polar Express.
The Vespers Concert begins at 3:00 p.m. at Lincoln-Way Central, Door 7A. Admission is non-perishable donations for the music department's "Literal Ton of Food" Drive.
A mitten tree, a cookie party, a salute to enlisted and veteran military, and a sing-along will round out the afternoon of music-making.
The director of the Lincoln-Way 210 Symphony is Stacy Williams-Jackson.
The next performance of the Lincoln-Way Symphony will be Sunday, February 26, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Lincoln-Way Central. The symphony will perform works by Schubert, Rodrigo, Mussorgsky, and Powell.
