Kate Weithers, a senior at Lincoln-Way East High School, has been named winner of the Associated Orthodontists (AO) T-shirt design contest. The contest, which took place earlier this year, was open to all AO patients.

Kari Clauss, Marketing Coordinator with AO, facilitated the contest and oversaw the design committee. “We had a hard time choosing a final winner because we received so many great designs and ideas,” said Clauss. “We chose Kate’s because it incorporated components of our logo and represented the mission and culture of AO.”

Weithers is an aspiring artist and intends to study art when she attends college next fall.

In addition to having her art featured on the official Associated Orthodontists T-shirt, Weithers received a $100.00 Visa gift card. She was also given the first edition of the T-shirt at a special red carpet presentation on November 16, 2016 at AO’s Frankfort office.
