Lincoln-Way students earn five of ten finalist spots in art competitionThursday, November 3, 2016
The 2017 Illinois Tollway Map Cover Art Contest selected ten pieces of artwork as finalists for the competition. Of those ten finalists, five are Lincoln-Way students.
The contest is open to high school students in the 12 counties served by the Illinois Tollway and will select one piece of artwork to be used as the cover of the 2017 Illinois Tollway Map. This year's contest theme is Enhancing Drivers Experience via Innovation and Technology.
The contest is currently in the "Public Voting" stage. Those who wish to vote should paste the following link into their browser to vote: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2017MapCoverArt.
Once the voting results are totaled, there will be a “Top Four” stage. Then, the Illinois Tollway Board of Directors will select the overall winner.
The three Lincoln-Way East student finalists are:
• #5 Haylee Gemeiner
• #6 Kaylee Howell
• #10 Kate Weithers
The two Lincoln-Way West student finalists are:
• #3 Emily Davis
• #8 Alanna Ledvina
