Students in District 210 competed in the 2016 Scholastic Art Competition this past week.

“The Scholastic Art Show is the most recognized and prestigious high school art exhibition in the nation,” commented Phil Labriola, Lincoln-Way Art Teacher and Department Chair.

In our region, area schools submitted 2,900 works with only 886 pieces awarded and accepted into the show.

Lincoln-Way students were recognized with 35 awards for their outstanding artwork. Five of those were given Gold Awards, 16 Silver Awards, and 14 Honorable Mention Awards. Gold key winners’ work will advance to New York to compete at the national level.

"With the amount of work and the exceptional quality represented, it is indeed an honor to be selected," stated Labriola.
