The Lincoln-Way East and North Varsity Girls Basketball teams had the unique opportunity to play each other at the United Center this past Friday night, January 15.

“The girls’ excitement about playing on the United Center floor was priceless. They competed hard but they also took time to embrace the experience,” commented Mark Vander Kooi, Lincoln-Way East Athletic Director.

Each team and their families were then invited to stay for the Chicago Bulls game that evening.

"The Lincoln-Way Varsity Girls' Basketball Teams truly enjoyed the experience of playing a recent game at the United Center. Thank you to all of the parents, family members and fans that purchased tickets to the event...Without your support, the event would not have been possible. The student athletes were rewarded with memories that will last a lifetime," stated Matt Lyke, Athletic Director at Lincoln-Way North.

“Although the game was exciting, the biggest cheer of the day was after the game when both teams took their picture together,” remarked Jim Nair, Head Girls Basketball Coach at Lincoln-Way North.
