IHSA Confirms Lincoln-Way Student Eligibility
Friday, January 15, 2016

All Lincoln-Way High School District 210 athletes and extra-curricular participants will be eligible to compete next year regardless of which District 210 school they attend, as was confirmed by the Illinois High School Association in a letter to district officials.

The IHSA is aware of the closing of Frankfort (Lincoln-Way North) High School beginning in the 2016-17 school year, wrote IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson. Per the by-laws of the IHSA, all students in District 210 will have immediate eligibility at the high school they attend per the attendance boundaries determined by District 210."

The letter was requested by District 210 officials to address concerns recently raised by some members of the community.

The district had previously verified this ruling with the IHSA, but we want to share this verification of our efforts to maintain the eligibility of our students, said Dr. Tingley. The extra-curricular programs offered by District 210 at all high schools provide outstanding opportunities for our students. We will continue to maintain the quality and integrity of these programs."

The extensive extra-curricular programs offered by Lincoln-Way District 210 have been recognized for excellence locally, statewide, and nationally.
