The Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 Board of Education is
aware of the recent lawsuit regarding the decision to close one of the districts four high
schools, however, it would be inappropriate to comment on this pending litigation. While we
respect the citizens right to pursue such action, we are saddened that they have chosen this

As partners in our school community, the members of this board of education
understand and share the frustration over the financial circumstances we are facing together.
Decisions made by this board have been, and will continue to be made in good faith and
without malice. We remain committed to providing outstanding opportunities to all students
as we move forward on the road to recovery.

The reality is that District 210 must ultimately operate three schools rather than four.
We acknowledge our current financial situation has caused the board and administration to
make some very difficult decisions. The continued achievements of our students, faculty and
staff serve as inspiration for us all and point us in the right direction.
