Friday, September 25, 2015

The Lincoln-Way High School 210 Board of Education approved the districts FY16 budget which includes a $5.2 million deficit during its meeting on September 24. The budget includes a deficit reduction plan that will be submitted to the Illinois State Board of Education and aims to provide the district with a balanced budget in Fiscal Year 2017 during the first year the district is operating three high schools.

The budget includes $101.4 million in revenue and $106.6 million in expenditures, along with an inter-fund transfer of $4 million from the building fund to the education fund which allows the district to start the year with positive fund balances in both accounts.

Our goal is to get our district to a place of financial stability, said Superintendent Dr. R. Scott Tingley.
