Lincoln-Way Schools Host Events to Help Students Plan for College

Lincoln-Way High Schools are hosting events this week dedicated to helping high school seniors prepare and plan for college.

Students and parents from Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way North are encouraged to attend College Application Night on Wednesday, September 2 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Lincoln-Way North auditorium and is organized by East and Norths Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Departments.

The guest speakers for the College Application Night are Nate Barger, Regional Director of Admissions for the University of Cincinnati and Julie Nelson, Regional Director for Xavier University. They will discuss the criteria for college selection, the application process, campus visits, letters of recommendation and application essays. There will also be an opportunity for questions at the end of the evening.

Lincoln-Way Central and West High School seniors and parents are invited to College Admissions Information Night on Thursday, September 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lincoln-Way Central Fine Arts Theater.

The keynote speaker is Mr. Larry Pauly, Associate Director of Admissions at Millikin University. Those in attendance will receive an overview of the college admissions process, important college application tips, and will have an opportunity to ask questions.
