Lincoln-Way West Students Earn Perfect Attendance
Thursday, May 28, 2015

Lincoln-Way West students Michael Pratl and Joseph Greenback demonstrated their commitment to education by earning perfect attendance during their four-year high school careers at West. Their attendance record equates to 720 days of school.

These two young men have demonstrated an unwavering work ethic that will serve them well in their pursuits after high school, said Lincoln-Way West Principal Dr. Monica Schmitt. These students should be commended for this outstanding accomplishment.

Outside of school, Greenback enjoys participating in scouting and has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. During his junior year, Pratl played varsity football and was a member of Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society.

Perfect or excellent attendance translates into greater opportunities for academic growth, said Schmitt. The importance of school attendance should not be overlooked and sometimes missing even a few days can become a major academic setback in students school work.
