Lincoln-Way Foundation Virtual Gala & Auctions – A Real Success!
Thursday, March 11, 2021

The Lincoln-Way Foundation thanks the entire community for celebrating their “Love of Lincoln-Way” at the annual Gala & Auctions held on Saturday, February 20, 2021. The event generated over $30,000 in net proceeds, which exceeded expectations.

This fun night was hosted by Foundation Executive Director Bob Kennedy and Foundation Board President Stacie McGlone. “I am thankful for all the donations and volunteer support of our event. We hope people will join us in person on February 12, 2022 at the Odyssey Country Club for the next Gala,” said McGlone.

Throughout the evening, viewers learned how the Foundation raises money and heard first-hand testimonials from students and staff on the various ways the funds benefit Lincoln-Way 210. Amazing gift baskets were donated by individuals and local businesses whose generosity makes a positive difference in the lives of many Lincoln-Way students and families. An appeal for scholarships was made, which allowed the Foundation to exceed its goals.

“We provided more than $23,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors in 2020 and thanks to community support of the 2021 Gala, we plan to fund $30,000 in scholarships this May,” said Kennedy. “Each high school will receive $10,000 to allocate to 20 graduating seniors, or $500 per scholarship. During these difficult times, we are happy to help offset some of the expenses associated with continuing education.”

Proceeds from the event are used for both scholarships and classroom enhancements, which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/3ZRN21oGV2w. To view the event, please go to https://youtu.be/tkidAmejj2I.
