Message from Superintendent Tingley January 15, 2021Friday, January 15, 2021
Hello Lincoln-Way Families-
I hope the second semester is off to a good start, and the new year finds you and your family well.
Following all guidelines and recommendations set forth by the CDC, IDPH, and the Illinois State Board of Education, the district is prepared to return to in-person Blended Learning on Tuesday, January 19.
I continue to meet weekly and seek guidance from the Will County Department of Health. Lincoln-Way is one of the many schools that either has returned to in-person learning or is scheduled to do so next week.
One of the challenges with the return to in-person learning is coping with students forced to quarantine as a result of close contact. Therefore, it has been recommended that teachers record some or all of their lessons and post those lessons to Teams for quarantined students to access. Additionally, teachers will continue to be flexible and work with students during these unique circumstances.
As a reminder, on Blended Learning “A” days, students with last names A-L attend school in-person while students with last names M-Z engage in asyynchonous learning activites provided by their teachers. On in-person Blended Learning “B” days, students with last names M-Z attend school in-person while students with last names A-L engage in asynchronous learning activities.
Here is the calendar for the next six weeks of In-Person Blended Learning:
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we continue through this school year.
R. Scott Tingley
