Message from Superintendent Tingley November 24, 2020
Tuesday, November 24, 2020

Lincoln-Way Community,

This school year has not been what anyone would wish for. We have all had to adjust to COVID-19, and often the positives that are still occurring in our district have been overshadowed by the challenges we face.

Even in this unusual year, Thanksgiving is a day to take a pause and express gratitude for all the things we can be thankful for.

I want to thank our teachers who continue to adapt to incredibly difficult circumstances, our parents who continue to support their children, and our educational support professionals who continue to maintain our schools and facilities.

Mostly, I have gratitude for our students who continue to persevere and demonstrate patience and understanding as they navigate this school year.

At the end of the day, each of us is trying to do the best we can during these challenging times. Not everything has gone as we would like, but we have all learned quite a bit since the first day of school that will better prepare us for the rest of the 2020-2021 school year and beyond.

Below is a reminder of the schedule for the remainder of the semester:

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

R. Scott Tingley
