Lincoln-Way Families,

Monday, October 19 will be a Blended Learning “B” Day.

There are three topics I’d like to address at this time:

• As we approach the halfway mark of the first semester, just a reminder that students are expected to complete 20-60 minutes of asynchronous assignments and learning activities per class on their at-home days.

• There have been concerns brought to the district regarding the use of gaiters as face coverings. Information published by the CDC states, “CDC does not recommend the use of gaiters or face shields. Evaluation of these face covers is on-going, but effectiveness is unknown at this time.” Based upon this recommendation, Lincoln-Way 210 will no longer allow the use of gaiters as face coverings.

• Since the move to Blended Learning, Lincoln-Way administration has been monitoring community health metrics in regards to COVID-19 and carefully tracking the number of active COVID-19 cases in each building. We have created a new page on our website that includes COVID-19 metrics that will be updated on a daily basis. Click Here to access this page.

Thank you to all our students and staff for continuing to follow all safety protocols to ensure we are able to continue in-person learning.

Have a great weekend.

R. Scott Tingley
