Lincoln-Way community,

Thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and support during these challenging times. This is certainly not how we envisioned the end of the 2019-2020 school year. The district has developed plans to conclude this very unusual school year. These plans are tentative and could change if additional guidelines are received from the Illinois State Board of Education or the Governor’s office.

The tentative schedule for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year is as follows.

April 27-May 1
• Monday, April 27- Teacher Planning Day
• April 28-May 1- Remote Learning

May 4-8
• Monday, May 4- Teacher Planning Day
• May 5-8- Remote Learning

May 11-15
• Monday, May 11- Teacher Planning Day
• May 12-15- Remote Learning
o Friday, May 15- Last day of Remote Learning for seniors.

May 18-22
• May 18-21- Remote Learning for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors
o Thursday, May 21- Last day of Remote Learning for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.
• Friday, May 22- Catch-up Day (no new Remote Learning)

Final Exams: Traditional final exams will not be administered.

Retrieve/Return Items: During the week of June 1, students will be able to enter the building to retrieve personal items, return district materials, and pick up purchased yearbooks. More specific details will be provided by your building principal. The district will adhere to social distancing and CDC guidelines.

Extracurricular: All extracurricular activities, including spring athletics and prom, have been cancelled for the 2019-2020 school year.

Graduation: Seniors should save the date for the weekend of July 17, 18, 19. The District will provide a graduation ceremony adhering to guidelines from the CDC and Illinois Department of Public Health. Detailed information will be provided by your building principal in the upcoming weeks.
