Monday, January 6, 2020

Teachers at all three Lincoln-Way buildings are spending their last day of winter break preparing for students to return tomorrow.

At Lincoln-Way East, teachers began the day with a building meeting. Today’s message was all about finishing out the year with Effort, Attitude, Spirit, and Teamwork. Principal Michalak expressed the importance of helping each other out, and bringing your best every day for students.

They continued the message of finishing the year strong with a presentation by Eddie Slowikowski. 3 minutes and 58 seconds. That is the amount of time it took him to run the mile. Whether it’s as a Gold Medal winner for the USA Track & Field Team, a three-time NCAA All-American, or the world’s most dynamic professional speaker, Eddie knows a thing or two about peak performance.

Throughout his message, Eddie’s energy showcased how when we change the energy in the room, it changes the environment. He expressed the importance of teachers in every students’ life, and encouraged them to energize every performance every day in their classroom.
