All Three Lincoln-Way High Schools Ranked in Top 10% in Illinois Wednesday, October 30, 2019
For the second straight year, all three Lincoln-Way high schools academically ranked among the top 10% in the state, all three earning the summative rating of “Exemplary” on the Illinois Report Card, the highest ranking the Illinois State Board of Education offers. The designations provide a public benchmark for each school’s progress toward the goal of preparing all students for success in college and career.
The release of the 2019 Report Card represents the second year of implementation of IL-EMPOWER, Illinois’ multi-measures accountability system developed through the Every Student Succeeds Act State Plan. Designations are based on a variety of data including assessment, attendance, climate survey participation, and graduation data from 2019. The Report Cards provide a detailed look at each school’s progress on academics, student success, school culture and climate, and financial investments.
Lincoln-Way students’ SAT scores were the highest in the Southwest Suburban Conference. Lincoln-Way Central, East and West were the top three schools within districts in Will County.
Other key highlights on the IRC include a Graduation Rate of 96%, compared to the state’s 86%, and 96% of Freshman are on Track, compared to the state’s 87%.
“We’re very pleased with our results on the Illinois Report Card,” said Dr. R. Scott Tingley, Superintendent. “To be ‘Exemplary’ for the second year in a row shows that Lincoln-Way 210 continues to stay on pace with the state. Lincoln-Way 210 is committed to putting our students first and will continue to strive to improve.”
