Lincoln-Way Scholarship Nights
Friday, May 17, 2019

Lincoln-Way Central, East and West each recently held their annual Scholarship Nights, where local businesses, individuals, families, organizations, and foundations presented scholarships to graduating seniors in each school’s auditorium.

Between all three schools, 462 graduating seniors were awarded $914,526.

Among the awards at each ceremony, memorial scholarships were given to students in memory of community members’ loved ones. Local businesses and nonprofits showed their support by offering scholarships to graduating seniors who have shown interest or talent in a specific area of study, activity or sport.

Lincoln-Way East Counselor Lynne Jurges says, “We are so appreciative of the organizations for their time, effort and support in making this evening possible. The scholarships provided can be life changing for our students. We are proud of our students and honored that the organizations recognized them as worthy recipients.”

This year, one Lincoln-Way Central student and two Lincoln-Way East students received Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies. This scholarship is for full tuition and housing renewable for four years.

Lincoln-Way East also had two Military Scholarships for Air Force JROTC students to receive full tuition and fees renewable for four years.
