Lincoln-Way Central Students Inducted into World Language Honor SocietyWednesday, February 20, 2019
More than 100 students were inducted into the Lincoln-Way Central World Language Honor Society, which recognizes and celebrates high achievement in language study, including Spanish, French, Chinese, and German. Inductee’s must maintain high academic achievement in their language of study, show leadership skills, and demonstrate cultural tolerance.
“You are very well prepared for life after Lincoln-Way, especially in world language,” said Principal Steve Provis. “Look into possibly minoring in a world language because it will open up many doors for you. You’ve worked extremely hard to get to where you’re at.”
Lincoln-Way Central inductees recited a pledge, committing as a group of learners to be leaders and models of excellence. “I promise to carry on the tradition of the Lincoln-Way Knights as a learner of languages. I will continue the quest for deeper language proficiency while modeling and appreciating diversity. I will take pride in assisting others and seeking opportunities to enhance language fluency and language appreciation in the Lincoln-Way community and beyond.”
