District 210 community members/businesses support Lincoln-Way Foundation through sponsorshipFriday, July 6, 2018
On Friday, July 13, 2018, the Lincoln-Way Foundation for Educational Excellence will host their first annual Lincoln-Way Summer Fest. The event will run from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m. at CD & ME in Frankfort, Illinois, and is open to adults age 21 and over.
The rain or shine event will feature two live bands: “Then Again” and “Johnny Russler and the Beach Bum Band.” Lincoln-Way teachers are lead singers of both bands.
“We are incredibly thankful to the outpouring of support we’ve received from local businesses,” says Lincoln-Way Foundation Executive Director, Bob Kennedy. “Most recently, The Wexler Group at Keller Williams Realty joined us as a ‘Rockstar’ sponsor, Image360 of Mokena secured a ‘Promoter’ sponsorship, and Illinois State Rep Margo McDermed became a “#1 Fan” sponsor. These generous donations impact our students every day at Lincoln-Way,” he says.
In the past six months alone, the Lincoln-Way Foundation has donated $121,000 to enhance the education of District 210 students. “Our Summer Fest event will allow us to continue supporting STEAM education, technology, and the overall learning experiences of Lincoln-Way students,” says Kennedy. “Contributions from sponsors have already allowed us to cover the majority of our event costs. We are so thankful for their support of education,” he says.
There are three ways to purchase tickets, which are only $30 each if purchased in advance:
• Tickets are currently live on Ticketmaster.
• Tickets can be purchased at CD & ME.
• Tickets are available at the main offices of Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way West.
Limited quantities of table reservations, sponsorships and areas for class reunions are still available. To reserve tables or secure sponsorship, those interested should contact Bob Kennedy via email at Robert.Kennedy@lw210.org, or via phone at 815-462-2976; those interested in a class reunion should contact Beth Ryan (BethRyan2335@gmail.com).
Additional sponsors of the event include Old Second Bank, Coopers Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Kiwanis Club of Frankfort and Glatz Management Services, Inc. Food will be available for purchase by Gatto’s and Dancing Marlin.
“We can’t wait to see performances from our very own teachers, support our students, and enjoy a casual night among friends!” says Kennedy. “This event has been carefully planned over the past few months, and the Foundation is excited to see our community come together.”
