Lincoln-Way East Theater Company to Present Noises Off
Friday, October 6, 2017

The Lincoln-Way East theater company is proud to present the Tony Award winning comedy, “Noises Off” by Michael Frayn in the Lincoln-Way East auditorium. The play will debut on Thursday, October 26, at 7 p.m. The East theater company will also perform “Noises Off” on Saturday, October 28 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, October 29 at 3 p.m.

“Noises Off” is a fun and zany production about the traveling show “Nothing On.” The audience will watch as this play-within-a-play slowly crumbles to its demise starting with the dress rehearsal through the final production on Broadway.

With missed cues, big egos, relationships gone wrong, and a good old fashion plate of sardines, this show will have the audience rolling in the aisle with laughter.

“What I really love about “Noises Off” is that it gives outsiders to the theatre life an inside view of what life as a performer can entail. Even better, “Noises Off” gives the audience that insight while also growing wildly chaotic and more amusing as the show goes on! I owe my excitement for rehearsing to the cast. With a cast made up of just nine people, we’ve all become extremely close and work well together, all the while sharing dozens of laughs in rehearsal. That’s one of the main reasons why this show was so extremely delightful to put on, so I can’t thank them enough,”
says sophomore Veronica Szafoni, playing the part of Mrs. Clackett/Dotty.

Tickets will be on sale at the door for $10.00 for adults, and $5.00 for students. A discount for senior citizens will be available on Thursday, October 26 for $5.00. Find the Lincoln-Way East theater company on Facebook at ‘LWE presents “Noises Off”’ to find more information.
