Lincoln-Way Foundation hosts Partner LuncheonFriday, September 29, 2017
On Wednesday, September 27, the Lincoln-Way Foundation hosted a Foundation Partner Luncheon in the Griffin’s lair at Lincoln-Way East High School. The luncheon honored the Foundation’s partners for all of their remarkable support and patronage for District 210 throughout the year.
Since its launch in 2007, the Lincoln-Way Foundation Partner Program has become the cornerstone of the Foundation's fundraising efforts. As of today, over 30 area businesses and individual Partners are in the program. The annual gift giving donations range from $1,500-$20,000. These area businesses and individuals help every year by enhancing Lincoln-Way students’ experience through providing limitless educational opportunities.
“Since 1994, we have donated over 4.2 million back to the school district to help the students achieve academic success. Our partners are key to our mission and after 10 years, the program continues to grow and expand,” says Bob Kennedy, Executive Director of the Lincoln-Way Foundation.
Partners of the Lincoln-Way Foundation make a difference in the lives of thousands of students in classrooms each day. Their generosity enhances the opportunities for students at each of the Lincoln-Way high schools, across the curriculum, and at all academic levels. Partners contribute in a special way to the Lincoln-Way tradition of excellence.
The luncheon featured a Lincoln-Way update from Superintendent Scott Tingley, as well as an overview of what is new at Lincoln-Way. These exciting updates included new teaching methods in the Anatomy and Physiology Department, a new initiative called Project: Lead the Way through the Engineering Program, and what is to come for students in Environmental Biology.
The afternoon closed with Executive Director Bob Kennedy, highlighting the role and importance of the Lincoln-Way Foundation, as well as extending the invitation to the Foundation’s Annual Dinner Gala. The Dinner Gala will be held on Saturday, October 28, at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park. The gala will feature cellular auction bidding, silent and live auctions, and dinner and dancing with dinner music provided by Lincoln-Way students.
