SIAM to offer discount books to local residents, benefitting Lincoln-Way Music
Wednesday, August 16, 2017

On Sunday, August 20 and Sunday, August 27, Lincoln-Way music students will be out in the community on behalf of Supporters In Area Music (SIAM) with door-to-door sales of discount books. All proceeds from the sales will benefit the music programs at Lincoln-Way High Schools.

Discount books will be sold for $20.00 each, and purchasers will receive discounts and specials at 160+ merchants in the Lincoln-Way community. Beginning Sunday, August 20, the books will also be available for sale at each of the schools’ main offices.

All the proceeds from SIAM sales are distributed equally to the Music Booster Organizations at each Lincoln-Way school to be used to support programs and activities in the music departments such as, Orchestra, Vocal & Instrumental Jazz, Choir, Madrigals, Spring Musicals and the Lincoln Way Marching Band.

Residents who are not home during the time of sale will receive a door hanger with information for purchase. Residents who do not receive a visit to their home will be able to purchase discount books in the main offices in each Lincoln-Way High School or at one of various local businesses.

SIAM has supported local community businesses and music programs at Lincoln-Way High Schools for over three decades.

“Each year hundreds of students are out in the community selling thousands of books door-to-door. This is by far the largest single fundraiser specifically for the Music Departments of Lincoln Way District 210. Be on the lookout for these kids in the community these coming days," said Bob Garcia, SIAM District Chair.
