L-W East Students and Teachers Spearhead Prairie Preservation for Outdoor Classroom

Lincoln-Way High School teachers, students and community volunteers spearheaded a plan to preserve and relocate native prairie plants for use as an outdoor classroom at Lincoln-Way East. The Lincoln-Way High School 210 Board of Education approved the district's FY16 budget which includes a $5.2 million deficit during its meeting on September 24. The budget includes a deficit reduction plan that will be submitted to the Illinois State Board of Education and aims to provide the district with a balanced budget in Fiscal Year 2017 - during the first year the district is operating three high schools.
